Pavement's performance gets a poor reception — a shower of mud and rocks — on the West Virginia stop of the 1994 Lollapalooza tour. Pavement's Bob Nastanovich and Scott "Spiral Stairs" Kannberg, and Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore, theorize how the performance may have contributed to the eventual demise of the festival.
