SolidWorks 3D CAD Lesson: DWGeditor Coordinates

Back

http://www.CADjunky.com DWGeditor utilizes relative and absolute coordinates to define geometry. An absolute coordinate represents the actual point in space such as 4,0 where x=4 and y=0. A relative coordinate is proceeded by the @ sign and is based on the last absolute coordinate. Coordinates can be entered in rectangular form (x, y) or polar notation (radius, angle). This is a SolidWorks Lesson Plan and Tutorial developed by Marie Planchard for use by Students, Eductors and Teachers for Instruction and Demonstration to reinforce Education of SolidWorks 3D CAD Mechanical Engineering Design Software.
