President of NARAL Pro-Choice America, Nancy Keenan speaks as part of the Women@Google series. NARAL is a pro-choice organization that opposes restrictions on abortion and promotes women's reproductive rights. Nancy will be discussing the recent controversy over Verizon Wireless's refusal to allow NARAL to set up a text message alert system; this decision was eventually reversed by Verizon. Nancy Keenan is a leading commentator on reproductive health issues. Her list of appearances includes NBC Nightly News, The Today Show, The Brit Hume Report on FOX, CNN and NPR. She is also routinely quoted in The New York Times, Washington Post, Newsweek, and other major national and regional publications.
