BackThis video includes several films produced during the Vietnam war detailing the role of Air Force 5-man air rescue teams, whose job it was to bring out downed pilots. Includes the film "All For One." documenting the rescue of Capt. Gerald Lawrence in 1972. Includes interviews with A-1 sqaudron commander (Sandy), as well as, the forward air contoller. Includes excellent live-action footage aboard HH-53s (super jolly greens) of actual rescues, as well as details outlining the specific role of each team member: the pilot, co-pilot, navigator (door gunner) and the para-rescue jumpers, called "PJs." Also included are two short, silent films detailing some of the activities of Det. 2, 38th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadron (AARS) in HH-43As and the activities of Det. 6, 38th ARRS alert crews during scrambles to HH-43Fs and at scene of helicopter crash in Vietnam jungle.
