North Shore Waimea surf going off as Kimo and Yoko do an episode of the famous Aloha Show on Valentines Day 2008. This is the end of Makahiki the traditional time of whales coming to Hawaii and a time of peace and extreme sporting events. The Hawaiian way is to respect the ocean, volcanic reef, shark, honu, sun, wind, a single wave, seaspray and the buddy with jet ski. Surfing is Hawaiian and I call for it to be a Winter Olympic sport. It is time for Polynesian culture, athlete to share the enlightenment of surfing and aloha with the world and share peace of spirit.
