Michael Jordan 1991 Finals: Gm 5 Vs. LA Lakers, 30pts.

Back

MJ sealed his first ring with yet another brilliant performance. While this version of MJ could have taken over an entire series with his athleticism alone, he put a lid on his individual superiority perhaps because he was too busy out-Magic-ing Magic's all-around game. MJ balanced his own dominance with a superb, team game that was reflected in his near triple-double numbers for the series. With beautiful drives, a faaadeaway at the end (this is what a true fadeaway is, not the turn-around shots that are mistakenly called fades today) and the mustard shot (although it did not count), MJ completed his last step to the top of the mountain from where he would remain forever. (The rest of this series is uploaded in succession except Game 2 which was uploaded last year. You can find it here www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBseRlgoSLc For the record, MJ would end the series with some preposterous numbers: 31.2ppg, 6.6 rebs, 11.4 assists, 2.8 steals, 1.4 blocks, 56.64% FG, 50% 3FG and 85% FT). hoopsencyclopedia.blogspot.com
