©2007 Independent Media at Chapman Community Watershed. See the logging practices of Western Forrest Products in the area above Chapman Creek. This is the main source of water for over 20,000 people. The destruction of feeder creeks and the new chance of mudslides into the water supply have the citizens outraged. People are trying to stop this from continuing. Old growth trees around 1000 years old hold this very steep area together - until all the trees are gone. July 29,30 2007 and the trees were being felled again the next day.
