Come and taste the goodness of God. Call upon Him and He is faithful and will come to your aid when you have no one and nowhere to turn to for help. The creator of this Universe will He not care about his creation especially the human race who is created according to His image. He will surely manifest himself to those who are humble and desperate call out to Him for help!!! I love Him and my heart warms up with the praises of the song.

Goatskinner, I began to pull away from God not too long ago myself. I began to believe a lot of the statements your are currently quoting. In today's difficult times, it is easy to quit, to not believe, to doubt God. I recently called out to The Lord in my time of trouble and asked him to please renew my faith. He has, He truly has! It's okay to feel as you do. Just know that no matter how hard you try to keep your heart closed, God can open it. I'm proof that He can... and He will.

How Great Is Our God, I will Tell You. Lord! I called out to you in help. I was homeless and I had no place to go. I was hungry, and cold, and lived in rags.
