It would be imeffective to use this effect for flight because it would require a contunous magnetic field pointing outward over the entire surface of the earth. But trains can use this.

except that a speed of that magnitude would require an extreme electrical current that if even possible, would cost so much to produce that it is not likely to be seen. such is the limit of money.
