Nice playing, gtrgib. cathoderay, I recommend Dave Laibman's "Classical Ragtime Guitar" book and tapes/cds. Stefan Grossman also has a ragtime book/cds at his Guitar Workshop.

I only can hope that if i reach 22 years of playing guitar, I'll be able to play as well as you - you're version of brubeck's take five would be good with the drums and a bass like the saslow track you did. All the best and look forward to more sassy sounds!

22 years this year that I play of the guitar. I do not have a book on Ragtime and I am not an expert of this music. I play only the part of Saslow. When I hear a part which interests me then I make a research on the Web. Sorry!

Hi there Pierre! Can I just ask how long have you been playing guitar? was looking up richard saslow as I am also trying to learn his ragtime pieces at moment - Any books on ragtime you could recommend? Do you have a website or any recordings available?

Nice! My kind of playing so I may have to pick this up -I was going to use tab but it looks okay to work out by ear.
