Guys, don't forget that this song is "Litany IV" from "Six Litanies For Heliogabalus" album by John Zorn. Is a composition by John Zorn singed by Mike. The song needs to be judged in the album context, in relationship with the other songs.

Is anyone actually listening to it? He is beatboxing about 7 times a second, pitching and maintaining his screams at least two octaves above middle C and as for the singing, just try and evaluate it. You don't have to like it (obviously from the comments) but don't dismiss something you're either not listening to or failing to understand.

What I really would like to know is how he keeps his vocal cords healthy and what kind of warming up and vocal excersises he does. I want the same as he has, haha.

I thought about that also first time I saw it - that it reminded me of Diamanda. But I thought it would be wonderful to hear them do things together. Mike is not copying. He is just also into the fine art of screaming and grunting and growling^^

Um...yeah...famtomas, melvins, FAITH NO MORE, dillinger escape plan, isis, mr. bungle, tomahawk, mike patton plays music. In fact, I don't know why I'm arguing with you man. I like it because it sounds interesting and he isn't afraid to do this kind of a thing. Once again, wolfmother just doesn't sound interesting, it's all recycled music.

I believe you're the only one who finds your lam statement amusing. Mike Patton experiments, that's one reason why he's so good. Wolfmother on the other hand, well it's just not worth talking about. They're terrible.
