He used to burst into tears after his performances and roll around on the flowers thrown onstage. He had a face like a statue and a body like a flesh puppet and I haven't ever seen performances like this by anyone else.

Amazing. Yet it can be taken further. There is too much "victim coiling inward", too much head bowed "inward". Suffering would appear as a devastating aesthetic experience if the face remained suspended forward and up by a tense neck, like a cobra serpent, while the body follows unable to fathom what the head searches for, as the head searches hopelessly from side to side in unrequited yearning.
