The number of hits on YouTube for this video as well as the comments, testify to the fact that BD's folk and protest songs have finally found the audience they always deserved. Contrary to your thought that his political motivations "interfered" with his musical legacy, many of us regard his mastery of several different genres the key to his greatness. As a songwriter, his best songs, lyrically, belonged to the folk and protest genre and though not hits, were critically acclaimed at the time.
