This is just propaganda. Actually when the baby boomers gets older it will not cost more than a 1-2% increase in tax.... You can make the number whatever you want but the 53 trillion is spending over many decades.

And pray tell was the GOP truly clear in their thinking when they decided on Mrs. Palin for their choice as second-in-command to this most powerful nation in the world? No offense to the Governor but this one seriously needs explanation. The rationale escapes many on this one.

Our true national debt is 100 trillion NOT including the global derivatives crisis. I don't think we're going to make it. Implementing changes over a long period of time will save us. However, we will be engaged in wars continuously b/c of peak oil, the Arctic, Israel, Russia, Europe's dependence on same. Why do you think the republicans have been steeling & spending like drunken schizophrenics for the last 8 yrs? Why do you think they started 2 wars while lowering taxes for the rich?
