Everyone that says that they don't care if they win or become number one are full of shit. If they didn't care they wouldn't be on the tour in the first place. And anyone who believe them when they blurt out ridiculous shit like that is equaly out of tune with reality. There's no shame in going for being the best.

Andy Irons is soooo obsessed with being better than Kelly Slater. Kelly Slater seems like he's definitely a more humble and altruistic person. Like he doesn't even care to be the best, it just kinda happens. Irons, on the other hand seems really try-hard and hateful of anyone who does better than him. You get that arrogant d**khead vibe off of him everytime you see him in an interview/talking.

i have meet andy and all the other top44 he was the best person i met and was more than happy to get a photo with my son, play on he beach with him and sign a few things. I always want an aussie to win the world title if that doesn't happen andy can take the title anytime. kelly is a great surfer but arrogant, i suppose he can after 8 titles
