Sad thing, the way all powerful countries are not agreeing with each other... the earth can really be destroyed... it's a scary thought. Nobody cares...

Lol, It´s Charlton Heston, and yes he is amazing in his performance.

and Israel will not let Iran be a Nuke Power even it means war now. I see the writing on the wall. Obama will not support Israel to the extent needed, so this next month, or early Jan., is a prime time for and attack on Iran by Israel. Google and read. US just sent 3-4 Carriers, etc. etc. to region.

I read some comments below. It's weird. When I saw Obama win the election, this popped in my mind as it did back before the election. I come back and view the trailer. I think, Obama or not, we, as a world will have this happen. As of Dec 3rd Russia is on a quest to quickly get Iran up to speed on Nukes (material, etc.), India and Pakastain are on the brink of Nuke War.

I love this movie but the message was sad. I think this was the movie where I fell in love with Chuck Heston. I would think his other movies; but he was hot in this movie; I wished I was Nova :)

awesome scene. iconic. film really goes a 360. Taylor goes from super cynical about humanity to its defender and preaches about how it was better, only to find that we had destroyed one another long ago out of pettiness and difference. damn, this movie is such a classic

Yes, that a great idea. Lets disarm all of our nuclier bombs. But we still have all of those nuclear weapons to worry about... Durrhurrhurr

They are on Earth in about the year 3500, and probably around the New York area if land has not drifted too far. Nuclear war destroyed civilization, then the apes took over. Best ending for any movie I have seen.
