Last year Radiohead – the Britsh band – offered its album ‘In Rainbows’ to fans. What was interesting about this particular release was that the album was offered under a ‘tip-jar’ style arrangement where people paid as much as they wanted to. Essentially this was free music downloads offered by a top-rated band.
This year the mantle has been taken by Trent Reznor and his band, the Nine Inch Nails. Trent has long been an outspoken advocate of, if not free music downloads, then of freedom for customers to choose. Nine Inch Nails have recently ended their contract with their publisher and have chosen to offer their latest album, “the slip” for absolutely nothing. This is the first time such a large group have offered free music downloads with absolutely no way for customers to pay for it. Even if they wanted to.
The recording industry is going through somewhat of a recession as free music downloads in its varying forms starts to bubble to the top of the pile.

OVERVIEW
Welcome is a team video from Hyperlite that was shot at Radar Lake in Washington, which happens to be Hyperlite’s very own private lake.
The whole Hyperlite Pro Team was out with Sidewayz as well as photographers Joey Meddock and Josh Letchworth to put together one of the greatest videos in wakeboard history.
One lake with 8 of the best riders in the world and four gnarly sliders. Some insanity is bound to go off, and it did. Normally videos like this are just plain riding with some music. This one in particular has much more “soul.” This is a must see.

Okay, here’s the deal. The previous movie that these guys from Texas made was called Who Knows. It was pretty much one of the better regional wakeboarding films that we’ve seen in a while. Wave Theory looks to be even better than the last one. The riding in it is pretty sick, the film quality has been up’d a notch, and the music in it is the kind where…well, lets just say you’re not gonna fall asleep during this one. The overall feel you’ll get from Wave Theory is the kind where your heart starts pumping, your adrenaline starts running, and you just get stoked to go ride and kill it. Hey! Don’t mess with Texas!
